CHICAGO (Thursday, September 4, 2003) - The United States Soccer Federation National Program for Referee Development is pleased to announce that we have scheduled a State Referee Instructor Course Module, Increasing Instructor Effectiveness (IIE), from October 30 – November 2, 2003., at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Completion of the Increasing Instructor Effectiveness module is one-half of the required course work to obtain the grade of State Referee Instructor - Provisional. Train The Trainer is the other module required.

The State Director of Instruction has the responsibility to forward course announcements such as this one to qualified and eligible candidates from your respective state associations.

Actual course work will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, so students should plan to arrive in the evening on Thursday, October 30. The course will conclude by 12:00 p.m. (noon), Sunday, November 2.

The registration form (.pdf) must be completed and returned to the National Office. Attendance is limited to the first ten (10) registrations received from qualified candidates. All other applicants will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified if space becomes available.
