Referee Programs
2004 Regional/Professional Seminars & Workshop for Instructors and Assessors

The United States Soccer Federation National Program for Referee Development has scheduled eleven Regional Professional Referee Training Seminars for all referees interested in officiating at the professional level this season.

As we indicated in our memo dated December 3, 2003, we would like to address our presentation to your top instructors and assessors this year, as well as the referees. State and National Instructors and Assessors and any administrators active in the state referee program should be notified that they are welcome to attend day two of the workshop so they can be kept abreast of the information we are giving the referees at these sessions. All topics presented to the referees on the first day of the program will be covered on this day. A question and answer session will follow. All referees must attend day one of the workshop.

Notes for Regional Professional Clinic Administration:

  • The National Program for Referee Development will be responsible for the instructor’s air and/or ground transportation to the hosting city, as well as the hotel, meals and per diem for the instructor.
  • The state will be responsible for meeting room facilities, audio/visual equipment and securing the running track.
  • Site Coordinators will be responsible for organizing transportation to and from the site for the instructional staff.
  • Referees from neighboring areas who wish to attend a clinic in another state should ask their state referee administrator to make the necessary arrangements.
  • Referees participating will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the clinic.
