HOUSTON (Feb. 5, 2008) — The U.S. Men’s National Team’s match against rival Mexico on Wednesday, Feb. 6, will include the greatest amount of coverage ever, with ussoccer.com and ESPN will be providing a variety of programming on a number of different platforms before, during and after the game. The U.S. and Mexico will face off for the 54th time at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, live on ESPN2 and Univision at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT). 

The in-depth coverage will begin on Tuesday afternoon on ussoccer.com and finish with a live post-match show, which will be streamed simultaneously on ussoccer.com and ESPN360.com. Along with the extended coverage of the match against Mexico, usssoccer.com will continue to provide photos, videos, written features and a behind-the-scenes look at the team on the official MNT blog.

On Tuesday, ussoccer.com’s MatchACCESS will provide live streaming of the USA’s pre-match press conference with head coach Bob Bradley and goalkeeper Tim Howard. The press conference will be the final media availability for Bradley and Howard before Wednesday’s match, and will begin at approximately 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT).

On Wednesday, the coverage jumps to television as ESPN Classic will replay the U.S. Men’s 2-0 victory over Mexico in last year’s friendly at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., at 12 p.m. ET (11 a.m. CT). In the match, played in front of a sold-out crowd of 62,462 on Feb. 7, 2007, the U.S. got two second half goals from Jimmy Conrad and Landon Donovan to continue their undefeated streak against Mexico.

Closer to the match, fans can go to ussoccer.com and watch an exclusive Studio 90 pre-game show which will begin at 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT). The pre-game show will cover a myriad of topics around the USA-Mexico rivalry, including a unique look at the brand new home jersey the MNT will wear for the first time on Wednesday, an interview with Jozy Altidore and an inside look into what it’s like for Fulham FC midfielder Clint Dempsey to travel back to the United States and prepare for an international match.

At 8:30 p.m. ET (7:30 p.m. CT) fans can get an exclusive live look into the pre-game warm-ups on the field at Reliant Stadium as ussoccer.com’s MatchACCESS will once again provide streaming. With less than an hour before kickoff, fans will get a feel for the building anticipation as the stadium begins to fill up, and also find out both teams’ starting line-up.

ESPN2’s coverage of match will also include a pre-game show, beginning at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT) before the kickoff time of 9:25 p.m. ET. Veteran soccer television announcer JP Dellacamera and former U.S. MNT captain John Harkes will lead ESPN’s coverage of the match, along with sideline reporter Pedro Gomez. Rob Stone will be the on-site studio host and will be joined on set with former U.S. WNT captain Julie Foudy.

After the match at approximately 11:30 p.m. ET (10:30 CT), fans can check out an in-depth post-match show that will be broadcast live simultaneously on ussoccer.com and ESPN360.com. Hosted by ESPN talent, the live web program will include a breakdown of the match, interviews with head coach Bob Bradley and select players, and much more.

Fans looking for a place to watch the U.S. take on Mexico can head to one of U.S. Soccer's Official Viewing parties being hosted by the Official U.S. Soccer Bars.
