U.S. Soccer Coaching Department Announces 2004 Spring Coaching Schools in Carson, Calif.

CHICAGO (Wednesday, January 28, 2004) - The U.S. Soccer Coaching Department has announced that the Home Depot Center will host the 2004 U.S. Soccer “A” and “B” National License courses from March 27 – April 4. The Home Depot Center is an 125-acre development in Carson, California featuring state-of-the-art stadiums and facilities for soccer, tennis, track and field, cycling, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and other sports. Designated as an "Official U.S. Olympic Training Site," the Home Depot Center is the nation’s most complete training facility for Olympic, amateur and professional athletes.

The coaching schools are led by some of the nation’s top coaches, who are actively involved in U.S. Soccer’s National Team network. The nine-day school includes field and classroom sessions and concludes with intensive testing on theoretical and practical applications of the game. The course also includes valuable instruction in coaching methodology, team management, fitness and sport psychology.
