U.S. Under-17 '92s Pick Up Two Development Academy Wins

BRADENTON, Fla. (March 2, 2008) -- The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team '92s picked up a pair of Development Academy wins this weekend, topping Clearwater, 5-0, and IMG, 3-1.

Five different goalscorers contributed to the win over Clearwater on Saturday night, with Donovan Henry and Christian Alvarez each picking up a goal and an assist. After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime behind an Alfred Koroma goal, the U.S. turned up its attack in the second half with four goals.

On Sunday afternoon, the U.S. played its campus rivals, IMG Academy, and were led by two Scott Caldwell goals in the 3-1 win. IMG took an early lead, as Michael Radecke put them on top in the 10th minute. Alvarez scored his second goal just before halftime to level the score. Caldwell put two away in the second half to help earn the USA its second victory in as many days.
