U.S. Under-23 Women Head To Manchester For Two Matches Against England U-23's  

CHICAGO (March 3, 2008) - The U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team will face the England U-23 Women’s National Team in two matches in Manchester, England, as the oldest of the USA’s youth National Team travels to the U.K. from March 7-14.

U.S. head coach Bill Irwin will bring 18 players to England for matches on May 12 and May 14. This will be the second international trip of the year for the U-23s, who traveled to La Manga, Spain in February where they played U-23 sides from England (loss), Norway (win) and Germany (tie). The USA will be looking to avenge the 3-1 loss to England suffered in Spain. Irwin is preparing the team for the 2008 Nordic Cup to be held this summer in Sweden.
