U-21 WNT Falls to Brazil WNT 2-1

The U.S. U-21 Women's National Team suffered its first defeat on the team's four-game tour of Brazil, falling to the Brazilan Olympic Team 2-1 on Saturday in Aguas de Lindoia in the state of Sao Paulo. The U.S. tied this same team 0-0 on Thursday.

Natasha Kai scored the lone goal for the U.S. in the 62nd minute, her team leading 7th of the year.

The U.S. dominated the match statistically, including a 15-5 advantage on shots, but Brazil got a goal from Elaine in the 39th minute and then scored the eventual game-winner two minutes later. Nicole Barnhart only had to make two saves in goal for the U.S., and the U.S. surrendered only one corner kick while earning six of their own.
