U-17 '88 MNT Falls to Bluestars (PDL) 1-0
The U.S. Under-17 ’88 Men’s National Team fell 1-0 to the more experienced Bluestars (PDL) team this afternoon at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

The Bluestars maintained the majority of the possession during the match and finally broke through the U.S. defense in the second half off a corner kick. The U.S. had given up 13 corner kicks in the game and the final one was the back-breaker as Kei Kamara was able to just get a toe on the ball as it barley crossed the goal line.

The U.S., which started Evan Newton in goal, only mustered three shots on goal as the Bluestars’ defense was able to use their experience to close down any attacks.

The Bluestars featured a number of players who have been involved in the U.S. Soccer national program at some level, including Jordan Harvey and Tyson Wahl who were both in Residency with the U-17 Men’s National Team.
