Under-20 MNT Falls to, Draws Guatemala
U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team head coach Thomas Rongen called in 16 players to a training camp from Aug. 10-14 in Sunrise, Fla. The U.S. dropped their first match and tied their second in a two-game series against the Guatemala U-20 Men’s National Team during that camp.

In their first match, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, a Mynor Gomez goal was the difference in the 1-0 loss. The teams then played to a scoreless draw two days later, despite the U.S. going a man down in the 38th minute after captain Anthony Wallace was issued a red card. The game finished 10 v. 10 as Guatemala's Oscar Donis also saw red in the 58th minute.

Brian Perk, veteran of the 2007 FIFA Under-20 World Cup was between the pipes for both games, earning the shutout in the second.
