U.S. National Teams: Joined the U.S. Soccer Residency Program in September of 2003 … U.S. Under-17s: Started in the midfield, but has now moved to outside back and central back … A quick player whose strength is on the ball … 2005: Has played in 29 games this year, starting 17 … Started the third and final game of qualifying against Costa Rica at left back, playing extremely well and helping the team win 2-1 and secure a spot in the FIFA World Championship … Notched an assist on the first goal against Costa Rica, serving in the corner kick for Nik Besagno … Has scored two goals and five assists this year … Scored his first international goal against Uruguay on July 15 in Brazil … Scored his first goal on the year against Comunicaciones in a 5-2 win in Guatemala on Feb. 24 … Has notched three assists on the year … Came in as a reserve in the team’s only international match before qualifying, a 4-0 win over Haiti … 2004: Started exactly half of the 28 games he played in … Scored four goals and notched two assists … Also started half of the eight international matches he appeared … 2003: Started 13 of the 18 games he played in … Played in two internationals, starting one … Scored four goals and registered two assists.
