U.S. National Teams: Joined U.S. Soccer’s Residency Program in September of 2003 …. U.S. Under-17s: Was not part of the qualifying team, but has continued to improve over the past five months to win a spot on the World Championship roster … A hard-working and intelligent midfielder that will no doubt give the U.S. some depth … 2005: Has played in 14 games, including three international matches … Registered one goal and four assists … Has yet to score an international point … 2004: Had the most appearances of the three years he’s been in Residency, compiling 19, including 15 starts … Scored two goals on the year … Started in four of the six international games he played in … 2003: Played in 14 matches during the final four months of the year after joining the program in September … Scored five goals to be one of the point leaders for the squad … Played in just on international match.

High School / Club: Played just one year at Castle Park High School in San Diego, Calif., before coming into the U.S. Soccer Residency Program … Was named First Team All-District for his performance as a freshman ... Played with the Nomads since U-11 … Helped the Nomads win Nationals in 2002 as a U-14 team.

Personal: Has committed to Cal-State Fullerton next year and will continue to play soccer alongside his twin brother, Michael, as they will both attend … Does not have a middle name … Parents are Kathy and Luis … Has one sister, Kathy, who is 21 … Also has another younger brother names Lewis (13), who also plays for the Nomads … Enjoys going out with his friends … Played teeball as a kid … Was the high school kicker for the football team, splitting duties as a freshman with his brother … Favorite player is Ronaldinho … Names favorite movie as “Don’t Be a Menace” … His favorite place he’s been with the U-17s is Brazil … Names his parents as his biggest role models.
