A technical defender who likes to begin the quick counterattack, Freeman has been a part of the Youth National Teams at every level. The left back was a first-round draft pick of the Colorado Rapids (7th overall) in 2005 after a standout collegiate career at Virginia, and was traded to the New York Red Bulls before the 2007 season.
