Hometown: Orange, Calif.
Club: San Luis (La Primera División de México)
Despite his relative anonymity before the U-23 cycle, Orozco has come into camps and made a strong impression with his sophisticated tactical presence and field awareness. Called into his first training camp in four years in January, Orozco has become an important part of the USA’s backline. At 5 feet 10 inches, Orozco will likely slide into a center back position after regularly starting at left back for Mexican First Division club San Luis.

•    Was part of the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team pool in 2004
•    Moved to San Luis of the Mexican First Division in 2006 and made his debut for Los Tuneros on  August 26, 2006.
•    Established himself as a starter at fullback for San Luis in the 2007 Apertura when he made 16 appearances as his club advanced to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.

U.S. National Team - Under-23s: Has been called into two Under-23 Men’s National Team training camps … Under-18s: Was a member of the U-18s player pool during 2004 and remained on the radar during the selection process for the U-20 World Cup in 2005.

Professional – 2008: Retained his starting position at fullback for the beginning of the 2008 Clausura … He made 6 starts for the club before taking leave to join the U-23 team in the United States … 2007: Came into his own as a San Luis player during the 2007 Clausura, making nine appearances for the team as they finished third in Group 2 … Became a fully established starter for the club in the 2007 Apertura, making 16 appearances during the teams run to the quarterfinals … 2006: Signed a contract with San Luis of the Mexican First Division in 2006 and made his debut for the club in the 2006 Apertura … Made one appearance during the season.
