The primary objectives of the current Pro Course are for each coach to develop and improve the habits of a coach learning from one’s own experiences, to work on and improve the individualized needs of each coach’s personal development and to become more competent and proficient in their coaching tasks.
To be considered for the U.S. Soccer Pro Course, all applicants must meet the following pre-requisites:
- U.S. Soccer A License
- Currently coaching as part of either the MLS, NWSL, NASL, USL, or U.S. National Team coaching staff.
The U.S. Soccer Pro Course is structured per the domestic professional environment. Candidates will be expected to complete their assignments while working as a part of either the MLS, NWSL, NASL, USL, or U.S. National Team coaching staff.
The Pro Course is 12-months and is organized based on in-person instruction, club visits, expert guest speakers and webinars. The course concludes with a final meeting and individual presentation.
Digital Coaching Center
The U.S. Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC), is a state-of-the art online educational platform. The DCC allows coaches to create a personal profile, register for courses, communicate with technical staff, take part in online courses, create session plans with an online graphics tool, access an archive of U.S. Soccer training sessions and much more.
The DCC will be used for applications, registration, payment, assignments, communication and collaboration throughout the course.
