  Registration of Professional Players

A properly completed USSF registration form (.pdf) which has been signed by the player, a club representative and a photocopy of the playerrsquo;s contract must be submitted to the Amateur State Association with whom the amateur team is registered. The registration must be accompanied by the applicable fee ($30 per year of the contract of which $10 is to be kept by the State Association) Upon receipt, the Amateur State Association will forward the completed registration form which has been signed by the State Registrar, contract, and fee to the Federation within five (5) days after being signed by the player. The photocopy of the playerrsquo;s contract must include the commencement date of signing, expiration date, and full insurance coverage details. NO financial information relating to the playerrsquo;s contract is required. The period of registration MUST coincide with the dates of his contract

ALL registration forms and contracts should be sent to US Soccer at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the beginning of the teamsrsquo; season in order for us to enter the registrations in a timely manner. Any registrations received after 12:00 noon CT on Thursday of any week will not be processed until the following Monday and the player will not be eligible to compete until that date. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY FAX.

PLEASE NOTE: A registration is not effective until it is acknowledged by the Secretary General of this Federation. This acknowledgement is made by the club receiving the player's card. If a player not registered with the Federation participates in a match for a team, that team is not in good standing with the Federation, and the team must pay the Federation a penalty of $100 for each match the team plays during the period the player is not registered. This penalty is to be paid for each unregistered player. The team is not in good standing with the Federation until each unregistered player is properly registered with the Federation and the appropriate penalty is paid.
