And the Award Goes to...

U.S. Soccer President Dr. S. Robert Contiguglia & Gerhard Mengel
  ORLANDO, Fla. (Saturday, March 12, 2005) Gerhard Mengel was presented with the 2005 Werner Fricker Builder Award at U.S. Soccer's Annual General Meeting in Orlando, Fla. U.S. Soccer Federation President Dr. S. Robert Contiguglia presented Mengel with the award in recognition of his tireless dedication to the continued growth of soccer in the United States. Currently the president of the Michigan Soccer Association, Mengel has been involved in soccer in the Untied States since 1958 as a player, coach, referee and administrator, and recently had the National Men's Over-30 Competition renamed the Gerhard Mengel Men's Over-30 Cup. Dr. Contiguglia also presented Paul Caligiuri, George Chazaro, the Delaware Diversity Project, the FriscoSports and Entertainment Complex and U.S. Soccer referee Kari Seitz with a 2005 President's Award.
