The U.S. Men’s National Team opened the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup with a well-earned 2-0 victory against Canada at Ford Field in Detroit on Tuesday night. Goals from Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey paced the U.S. while goalkeeper Tim Howard made several superb saves in the second half to earn his 21st career shutout.
