Laws of the Game: Goalkeeper as Second-to-Last Opponent – Law 11

Law 11 states that a player is in an offside position when nearer to the opponent’s goal line than both the ball and the second-to-last opponent. Although the goalkeeper is typically the last opponent, this is not always the case.
