MARCIA WALLIS:
"In a game like this, our focus is on getting goals, establishing a lead and keeping possession. We also don't want to get injured so we tried to play the ball quicker."
On Playing Canada Next: "We want to come out tough, score early and keep playing hard. The crowd can work for and against us. It will definitely keep the game intense. Canada is big and hard-working. We'll try to use our speed and skill on the ball."
COACH JAY HOFFMAN:
"Our focus today was to play soccer. We were trying to do things that need reinforcing, like staying in synch and staying on the same page. We were able to score some goals and get some confidence. It was a great opportunity to put some things together that we've been working on in practice and it was good to see some of that happening on the field."
On Playing Canada Next: "They're the home country. There will be 3,000 of their fans packed in the stands cheering for them. Everything's on the line for them and they'll play like it. They're a hard-working team and they won't give up. They have a great goal scorer up front in Sarah Barradas. When she gets opportunites, she puts them away, so we'll have to contain her. They also have a good goalkeeper who played on their World Cup team so she has a lot of experience."
