The U.S. Falls to El Salvador in Semifinals of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship
The United States Beach Soccer Team fell to El Salvador in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship by the eventual score of 3-5. The Salvadorians, under the leadership of last year’s tournament top scorer, Agustin, got out to an early lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the match.

Rudis Gonzalez’s men will now represent their country in the 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup for the second consecutive year, with this year’s edition being held in the United Arab Emirates.
The U.S. will now play in the third place match on Sunday June, 21 against the loser of the other semifinal between Mexico and Costa Rica.
