Robert has been selected as the Referee of the Week for the Development Academy due to his and his crew's standout performance in Academy matches on Jan. 9 between divisional opponents Irvine Strikers and Pateadores.
He began his referee career in 2005 and has been involved in the Academy for the past three seasons. In addition to his work in the new national team training program, Sarfaraz has officiated PDL games and select women's international games. The Orange County, Calif. resident is currently completing his education at Cal State Fullerton.
