U-15/16 Performer of the Week: Jordan Duru

Club: Concorde Fire
Newcomer Jordan Duru, a midfielder for the Concorde Fire was up to the challenge of playing up an age group this weekend against the Richmond Kickers. Born in 1994 and playing among players two years older than him, Duru entered the game and made an immediate impact, setting up two goals to help his team to a 4-0 victory.
The Concorde Fire are off to a big start, as the two Academy teams won all four of their matches during the opening weekend of the season. They will look to continue the on field success against McLean and Richmond Strikers when they travel to Virginia this weekend.
U-17/18 Performer of the Week: Jonathan Top
Club: FC Dallas
FC Dallas forward Jonathan Top continued his run of form from last season to earn Player of the Week honors while helping his team to a win against Texas SC Houston. In addition to his two goals on the weekend, Top was a constant threat to his opponent’s defense, creating space and finding the ball well.
With a weekend off from games, FC Dallas returns to action on Sept. 26 against Texas Rush AJ Auxerre.
