U17-18 CHAMPIONSHIP LIVE ON ESPNU AND ESPN3.COM: The U.S. Soccer Development Academy 2011 U-17/18 Championship Game between Pateadores and FC Dallas kicks off at 12 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on ESPNU and ESPN3.com. Pateadores reached the final in dramatic fashion, scoring two goals in the final three minutes of their last group game against PDA to leapfrog Dallas Texans in the table based on total goals scored. Needing a victory in their final group match, FC Dallas rolled to an emphatic 4-1 victory against Weston FC.
The remainder of the placement games are also underway, with CASL Chelsea FC Academy and Dallas Texans squaring off for third place. The New York Red Bulls face Baltimore Bays Chelsea to claim fifth place, while Weston FC and Players Development Academy fight for seventh.

U-15/16 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME SET: LA Galaxy and PA Classics will square off in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy 2011 U-15/16 Championship Game, which kicks off on Saturday, July 16, at 8 p.m. CT. The LA Galaxy defeated Seattle Sounders FC 3-0 in the winner-take-all match in the Group 1 finale. In Group 2, PA Classics dominated North Carolina Fusion in a 3-0 victory to claim first place.

LA GALAXY ROUTS SEATTLE SOUNDERS: Three second-half goals lifted the LA Galaxy to a win against Seattle Sounders FC and into the championship game at Development Academy Finals Week in Milwaukee. Goals from Sebastian Velasquez, Justin Dhillon and Jack McBean proved more than enough, while goalkeeper Josh McNeely held on for a shutout.
REAL SO CAL TAKES SECOND WITH TWO GOALS: Real So Cal claimed second place in Group 2 after defeating the Dallas Texans 2-0 in their final group match with goals by Angel Fernandez and Daniel Dannas. Real So Cal finished group play with four points and beat out Seattle Sounders FC for second place based on goal differential. Real So Cal netted a goal on either side of halftime, with the opener coming in the 12th minute from Fernandez. Dannas converted a penalty kick just before halftime to give Real So Cal the 2-0 lead that they would hold on to for the rest of the match. With the win, Real So Cal will face Real Salt Lake AZ for third place on Saturday, July 16, at 6 p.m. CT. The Texans will take on CASL Chelsea FC Academy earlier that day at 1 p.m. CT in the game for seventh place.

PA CLASSICS ADVANCES TO CHAMPIONSHIP: Two goals from Connor Maloney and one from Kyle Bitterman helped PA Classics top North Carolina Fusion 3-0 and earn a place in the championship game in their first-ever trip to Finals Week. Needing a win or a draw to win Group 2, PA Classics began the game with energy and were ahead after just five minutes.
REAL SALT LAKE FIGHTS BACK FOR WIN: Real Salt Lake claimed second place in Group 2 after defeating CASL Chelsea FC Academy 3-1 with goals by Jose Navarro, Joshua Goss and Ben Spencer. The win elevated Real Salt Lake above North Carolina Fusion, who lost to group winners PA Classics. CASL Chelsea FC Academy struck first, but Real Salt Lake roared back and scored three unanswered goals to capture their only victory of the group phase. Real Salt Lake will face Real So Cal for third place on Saturday, July 16, at 6 p.m. CT. CASL will take on the Dallas Texans earlier that day at 1 p.m. CT in the game for seventh place.

FATHER-SON DUO: Kevin Terry, Jr., is trying to follow in his father’s footsteps and join the ranks of father-son duos that have chosen the same career path. Unlike sons who follow their father into a sport as a player, however, Terry is following his father's path as the man in the middle, working his way through the referee ranks in the hopes of one day becoming a professional referee and earning his FIFA badge. While working in Milwaukee at Development Academy Finals Week, Terry took time to speak with ussoccer.com about his choice to become a referee and working closely with his dad to reach his goals.
