Clarence Goodson to Join U.S. Camp before Match against El Salvador

CHICAGO (Feb. 15, 2010) - IK Start defender Clarence Goodson is on his way to Los Angeles after being given permission by his club to accept the call-up from the U.S. coaching staff for the Feb. 24 match against El Salvador. Goodson has two goals in eight appearances for the U.S., including scoring the lone goal in the 3-1 loss to Honduras last month.
Goodson arrives Tuesday evening following an appearance in IK Start’s 4-2 victory on Feb. 15 in a preseason friendly against KSP Polonia in La Manga, Spain.
Goodson is the only foreign-based player who will be part of the group preparing for the USA's second match of 2010, a friendly against El Salvador on Feb. 24 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
