U.S. U-23 WNT Defeats University of Portland 2-1 on Late Goal from Danielle Tony

BEAVERTON, Oregon (April 26, 2010) – The U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team finished its week-long training camp in the Northwest with a 2-1 victory over the University of Portland at the Nike World Headquarters. The U.S. team got goals from Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Sarah Hagen 20 minutes into the game and then a game winner from Penn State’s Danielle Toney with just four minutes remaining. Those goals were sandwiched around a score from Haley Kreminiski in the 27th minute. Danielle Foxhoven, Keelin Winters and Elli Reed, who had spent the week training with the U-23s, played for Portland in the match and Foxhoven assisted on the Pilot goal.
