U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team Wraps Up Camp at The Home Depot Center
CHICAGO (Jan. 22, 2013) – The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team wrapped up a week-long training camp at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., with a 1-2-1 record against local teams.
U.S. U-15 BNT head coach Tony Lepore split the 36-player squad into two groups, playing two games on Wednesday, Jan. 16, and two on Saturday, Jan. 19. The U.S. fell to Chivas USA 2-1 on Wednesday, with Josh Perez scoring the lone U.S. goal in the first game of the day. Hugo Arellano and Elijah Rice scored to lead the U.S. to a 2-2 tie against Real So Cal later that evening.
Three days later, the U.S. defeated Chivas USA 3-2 with goals from McKenzie Gaines, Kevin Coleman and Raheem Taylor-Parkes. In the second game, Daniel Barbir and Joe Gallardo each tallied once in the
team’s 3-2 loss against the LA Galaxy.
