The U.S. Under-17 ’89 and ’90 Men’s National Teams played four games against three MLS squads this past week, including the MetroStars during the Second Annual Tom Fitzgerald Soccer Festival in Tampa, Fla. The U-17 ‘89s fell to the Chicago Fire 4-0 on Tuesday (Feb. 7), before falling 1-0 to the MetroStars on Sunday (Feb. 12) as Youri Djorkaeff scored the lone goal in the fifth minute. The U-17 ‘90s held their own against a young Chicago Fire squad, but fell 1-0 on Thursday (Feb. 9), before falling to a veteran D.C. United squad, 6-0, on Saturday (Feb. 11) in Bradenton, Fla.
