U.S. U-17 MNT To Face MetroStars in Tom Fitzgerald Memorial Soccer Festival
The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team will take on three Major League Soccer teams this week, including a match on Sunday, Feb. 12 against the MetroStars as part of the Second Annual Tom Fitzgerald Memorial Soccer Festival.

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team will take on three Major League Soccer teams this week, including a match on Sunday, Feb. 12 against the MetroStars as part of the Second Annual Tom Fitzgerald Memorial Soccer Festival. The four MLS squads – Chicago Fire, D.C. United and MetroStars – are all kicking off their pre-season with a training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., the location of U.S. Soccer’s Residency Program. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the U-17 ‘90s will face the Chicago Fire, which will be the age-group’s first match against an MLS squad. Over the weekend, the U-17s will get a look at some of the Residency’s alumni when they face D.C. United (Freddy Adu and Santino Quaranta) on Saturday, Feb. 11 and the MetroStars (Eddie Gaven and Mike Magee) a day later. The match against the MetroStars will played at Pepin/Rood Stadium on the University of Tampa.
