Notre Dame Tops U.S. U-17 MNT

The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team fell to Notre Dame, 5-1, in a scrimmage in Bradenton, Fla.

BRADENTON, Fla. (March 5, 2008) -- The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team fell to Notre Dame, 5-1, in a scrimmage in Bradenton, Fla.

Justin Morrow opened the scoring for the Irish in the 15th minute, and assisted on Bike Dite's goal nine minutes later. The U.S. cut Notre Dame's lead to one in the 31st minute behind a Luis Gil goal, but Steven Perry got a goal back for the Irish in the 45th minute. Dike added his second goal of the day in the 51st minute, and John Brovsky rounded out the scoring in the 68th minute.
