CHICAGO (April 22, 2010) -- The U.S. U-17 Men's National Team, which was scheduled to play in the International Tournament of Gradisca in Italy, will be unable to participate due to travel complications from the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
Though travel throughout Europe is resuming, the shortage of flights left no options for the group to travel overseas. The team was scheduled to travel on Friday, April 16, to England for a week of training on the grounds of Manchester City. On April 23, the U.S. was slated to fly to Italy to face Mexico, Romania and Croatia.
The next scheduled event for Wilmer Cabrera's side is a trip to Dallas, where it will face the Dallas Texans on May 6 and FC Dallas Juniors on May 8.
