U.S. Under-18 Men Take Third at Lisbon International
The U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team won one match and lost two at the XIII Lisbon International Tournament in Lisbon, Portugal to take third place.

CHICAGO (June 4, 2007) - The U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team won one match and lost two at the XIII Lisbon International Tournament in Lisbon, Portugal to take third place.
The U.S. opened their campaign against Finland, falling 3-1. In their next match against Norway, the Americans found themselves down 2-0 in the 26th minute, but a pair of goals from Peri Merosevic evened score, and a 68th minute strike from Andrew Weideman gave the U.S. a 3-2 victory. In their final game against the hosts, the U.S. fell 4-0.
The U.S. Under-18 team is in the midst of preparations for the PanAmerican games, which take place in Brazil in July, and the SBS Cup in Japan in August.
