U.S. U-18 Men Defeat Romania in Second Match of Lisbon International Tournament
The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team defeated Romania 1-0 in their second game of the 2010 Lisbon International Tournament.

LISBON, Portugal (May 28, 2010) — The U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team continued their run in the Lisbon International Tournament, defeating Romania 1-0 on a late goal by Victor Chavez. Excellent passing was the hallmark of the finish, as the goal started on the left with Daniel Garcia who dropped it back to midfielder Perry Kitchen. Luis Gil then received the pass in the center and sent it to Stefan Jerome at the top of the box. Seeing Chavez running through, Jerome found the striker who only had Romanian goalkeeper Sergiu Dani to beat. Chavez placed it low and to the left to earn the victory.
The win puts the U.S. at 1-1 for the weekend, with one match left to go against the host nation on Sunday, May 30.
