U.S. U-18 WNT Arrives at The Home Depot Center for Second Camp of 2011

The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team has begun a training camp under the direction of April Heinrichs at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

CARSON, Calif. (March 12, 2011) -- The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team has begun a training camp under the direction of April Heinrichs at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., that will run from March 12-19 as the squad gets together for its second event of the year. The majority of the 24 players in camp were born in 1994 with a few in 1993 and one in 1992. All are age-eligible for the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team that will attempt to qualify for the 2012 U-20 Women’s World Cup in Uzbekistan, which has an age cutoff of players born on or after January 1, 1992. The U-18s have played one international match so far this year, defeating Germany 2-1 on Feb. 1 in Florida. Thirteen of the players that featured in that match were called up for this March camp.
