U.S. U-20 Men's National Team head coach Thomas Rongen has called in goalkeeper Sean Johnson to replace Josh Lambo for the team's upcoming training camp in Sarasota, Fla. Lambo will remain with his club team, FC Dallas. Midfielder Brek Shea will also be allowed to remain with the MLS club and he will be replaced by Michael Stephens from UCLA.
The week-long training camp coincides with the Development Academy's Spring Showcase and will include two international friendlies against Costa Rica on Monday, May 25 and Wednesday, May 27.
Johnson was part of the U.S. team that successfully qualified for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup by helping the team to a second place finish at the CONCACAF Championship in March. He played 45 minutes in goal during the final, which was also against Costa Rica.
