U.S. U-19 Women Defeat Canada, 6-1, on Four Davis Goals
HOUSTON, Texas (Tuesday, May 27, 2003) – Four goals by forward Bristyn Davis led the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team defeated Canada, 6-1, on Tuesday (May 27) in their first match of the USYS Cup being held in Houston’s Meyer Park.

HOUSTON, Texas (Tuesday, May 27, 2003) – Four goals by forward Bristyn Davis led the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team defeated Canada 6-1 on Tuesday (May 27) in their first match of the USYS Cup being held in Houston’s Meyer Park.
Davis scored in the 10th, 35th, 53rd and 57th minutes before leaving the game in the 70th minute for substitute India Trotter. Kerri Hanks assisted the third of her goal, three minutes after netting one of her own in the 50th minute.
The U.S. scored right off the start of the match, with Megan Rapinoe scoring in the 1st minute on an assist from Stephanie Lopez. The lone Canadian goal was scored in the 60th minute.
The U.S. continues with the tournament May 29 vs. the USYS All-Stars and then an opponent to be determined on May 31.
