The third-string goalkeeper on the Confederations Cup squad, Robles is an up and comer who will look to gain experience behind Tim Howard and Brad Guzan. After a career at University of Portland (where he was a teammate of national team defender Heath Pearce), Robles elected to test the waters overseas, despite being drafted by D.C. United in 2007. The Arizona native landed in Germany with FC Kaiserslautern and worked his way into the starting role. After debuting in late 2008, the 25-year-old was a first-team regular throughout the rest of the season.
