Known simply as “Hack,” his nickname has nothing to do with his defensive prowess during his playing days (at least we don’t think). Rather, it’s short for Hackworth as in John Hackworth, the new head coach of the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team and headmaster of the 40 players in U.S. Soccer’s Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla.
