The U.S. Women’s National Team defeated Costa Rica, 3-0, to earn third place at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s World Cup Qualifying tournament and along with it a berth in a two-leg home-and-home series against Italy for the final spot in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
