The newest member of the U.S. National Team could not be more proud. The son of an American serviceman and a German mother, Danny Williams has felt a connection to the United States from an early age that has only grown with time and experience. The 22-year-old midfielder began his career at Freiburg, and a move to Hoffenheim this summer started a chain of events that has landed him a U.S. passport, a new girlfriend, and a chance to play for the United States. Eager and honest, his enthusiasm is contagious. One thing is for sure: Danny is thrilled to be here.
