U.S. U-23 WNT Falls to England, 2-0
July 6, 2009
The U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team fell to England, 2-0, in the first of two matches against the hosts. England went up 1-0 in the 33rd minute as Charlotte Young cracked a shot from 15 yards out that spun off the left hand of diving U.S. goalkeeper Kristen Olsen and snuck into the bottom right corner. England doubled its lead with nine minutes remaining as Dunia Susi got free on a breakaway, dribbled around Olsen and tucked the ball neatly into the left side of the net. The teams will play against on July 7 in Bisham.
