This afternoon, the U.S. team held its third to last training before the World Cup opener and once again temperatures soared in the high 80s. The U.S. team will train once on Monday afternoon, at the stadium on Tuesday evening, and then will play at 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday, when it should be a bit cooler. The team has been bringing a portable iPod player out to training and gets a little rhythm going with some cool beats as U.S. Strength and Conditioning Coach Robbie Elliott puts the squad through its warm-up. They won't get their own music on the field before the World Cup matches (although for sure the tunes will be blaring in the locker room), but they should expect a nice dose of Shakira and K'naan even thought South Africa 2010 is over.
