The training on the day before the game is always a fun one. Big stadium, great surface, walking out of the tunnel onto the field, anticipation of the game the next day. FIFA calls it "Match Day Minus-One" or "MD-1" which is a cool way of saying it.
Anyway, the U.S. WNT had its MD-1 today at Columbus Crew Stadium, the first of the soccer specific venues for MLS, and a stadium that certainly has a place in U.S. WNT history, having hosted a group match against North Korea in the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup.
It was quite hot today, but the weatherman tells us there is a 100% chance of rain tomorrow (that's a pretty high chance) and it may be 55 degrees tomorrow night. We guess summer has not quite yet come to Ohio.
