Scoring goals for their clubs is nothing new to Men's National Team players, but a couple surprising names turned up on the scoresheet this past weekend.
Goals have become business as usual for Jozy Altidore at Alkmaar, and the second game of the season meant another pair for the U.S. striker. He scored the first and third in the 3-1 win against Heracles. Have a look:
And then there were the defenders. Michael Parkhurst scored the game-winning goal for FC Nordsjaelland - again! That's two weeks in a row for Parkhurst, who has helped his side to third place after six games. Brondby captain Clarence Goodson took advantage of lax marking to head home the game-tying goal against league leaders FC Copenhagen, snatching an important point on the road (starts at 1:54)
In the team's final preseason friendly, Michael Bradley scored the second for Roma in a 3-1 win against Aris. Roma also announced today that Bradley will wear #4 this season.
