With a come-from-behind win against Internationals this afternoon, Cal Odyssey (Fresno, Calif.) has clinched a place in the championship match at the 2010 Development Academy Finals Week. It will be the second year in a row that Odyssey will be up for the championship, as they finished runners-up a year ago in this game.
After giving up an early goal in the first half, the result of the other Group 2 match (a scoreless draw) trickled to the Cal Odyssey bench and seemed to ignite the experienced team. Second half tallies from Gregory Antongolli and a free kick from Daniel Flores clinched the win.
Due to their victory and a draw in the Sockers-De Anza Force match, the Chicago Fire U-15/16s will face Cal Odyssey for the 2010 Development Academy national championship.
