Today's morning session at Murray Park was an absolute cracker. It was media day as well, so more than a dozen Scottish reporters - and several covering for U.S. outlets - were on hand for the blustery conditions. As expected, former Rangers men DaMarcus Beasley and Alejandro Bedoya were hot properties, along with Premier Leaguers Tim Howard and Geoff Cameron.
The team was originally scheduled to have two field sessions, but U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann extended the morning training to an intense 90 minutes of passing exercises, games to big goals, and crossing and finishing. There were equal measure of quality finishes and great saves, and the usual competitiveness across the board. Klinsmann was satisfied with the work and gave the team the afternoon off.
