Heather O'Reilly goes airborne to volley past Nicole Barnhart
Today was best described as "yucky" in Chongqing as the U.S. team actually trained under snowflakes. It wasn't sticking on the ground, but for part of the practice, it was in fact snowing on a cold, dark and wet day in central China. Depsite the conditions, the training session was excellent, with equal parts intensity and quality as the team worked a lot on ball possession and flank play. The USA has 23 players in China who are all fit and healthy as the team works toward its opening match of the Four Nations Tournament on Jan. 21 against Sweden. Tomorrow will be a double-day for the U.S. team with a shorter training in the morning to work on some technical parts of the game and a full team training in the afternoon. The jet lag is being washed from the players' legs, even if their toes were quite frozen after today's practice.
