As athletes sign their letters of intent to take their game to the collegiate ranks, ussoccer.com is tracking players who have been a part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy:
D.C. United: Academy officially announces 2012 university commitments – Ten D.C. United players announced their intentions to attend eight Division I programs. Among the group is Jalen Robinson (Wake Forest), a three-year D.C. United club player who has played for the U.S. U-14, U-15 and U-20 National Teams, and Michael Russo (Central Florida), who has been with D.C. United for three years and has ties to the U.S. U-14, U-15 National Teams. Other D.C. United commitments include Damilola Adetola (Villanova), Jannik Eckenrode (Radford), Ryan Harmouche (George Mason), Peter Lee (U.S. Military Academy), Sam Legg (Radford), Robert Maffei (Manhattan College), Marcus Salandy-Defour (Virginia) and Edgar Zepeda (George Mason).
New England Revolution: Youth players make college commitments – Nine New England Revolution U-18 players and one alumnus announced their commitment to various college programs. Revs alum Fabio Machado Jr. is going to play for Drexel. The other commitments include the following: Matt Bitchell (Connecticut College), Devin Devoy (Northeastern), Jack Hilger (Princeton), Nick Hoffman (Bentley), Colin Patch (Connecticut College), Forest Sisk (Amherst), Colin Sweeney (High Point), Mitchell Taintor (Rutgers) and Tyler Zon (Swarthmore College).

Top Programs Announce Impressive New Classes: Top Drawer Soccer highlights Wednesday’s signing day, leading with Wake Forest’s class that includes Development Academy players Mike Gamble, Ricky Greensfelder and Andrew Harris of Baltimore Bays Chelsea, Thomas Haws of Lonestar SC, Philip Parker of Texans SC Houston and Jalen Robinson of D.C. United. Goalkeeper Alec Ferrell (Internationals) made his commitment to Wake Forest in early January.
