The U-17 MNT traveled from Bradenton to spend the day with the senior National Team
The U.S. U-17 Men's National Team got a first-hand look at their potential future after coming from Bradenton to observe and spend the day with the senior National Team.
The morning started with the U-17s being introduced to the players and hearing a talk from Jurgen Klinsmann on the ways they can grow in their careers. They watched a 60-minute session on the field which included a lot of strength and agility work, then visited the team hotel for lunch. Players and coaches from both teams intermingled and shared stories and ideas, then the whole group departed to a nearby restaurant to watch the Champions League Final.
Many of the U17s called the experience "inspirational", and more than one said it made them feel more a part of the National Team. As Jurgen said to the aspiring internationals: "The door is open. It is your job to step through."
