We are not sure what Lori Chalupny was saying to Abby Wambach and Heather O'Reilly, but surely she was happy about no rain today at training for the U.S. team, although the temps dropped to 43 degrees outside of Munich. Some say that is perfect soccer weather, but we say add about 15 degrees and that would be more reasonable. With only one training today, the U.S. team went through a hard hour and 45 minute session, and while some players are still having some sleep issues due to the jet lag, the team's legs looked pretty spry this morning. After training, some folks from the U.S. Consulate in Munich came out to meet the players and show their support. We've found on our travels around the world that Americans living abroad are always excited to see the U.S. team and it's certainly appreciated. It always nice to see friendly faces and hear American accents in a foreign country.
