U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann called in 20 players to start getting prepped for Jamaica. Virtually all were starters on the weekend before traveling to Kansas City. Here's a snapshot of how they fared:
Jozy Altdore - started for the sixth time in seven league games as Sunderland fell 2-1 at home to Manchester United, remaining winless in the campaign.
DaMarcus Beasley - locked in at left back for Puebla, who lost 3-1 to Leon and now sit in 10th place in the Liga MX table.
Kyle Beckerman, Nick Rimando - The team captain and 'keeper helped RSL maintain the top spot in the West with a 1-1 draw against Dallas, now sitting one point ahead of Seattle.
Alejandro Bedoya - The winger fell ill before game time and sat out as Nantes thumped Evian 3-0 at home.
Matt Besler, Graham Zusi - The hometown heroes both went the distance as Sporting KC picked up a massive 1-0 win to keep them in the hunt for the Supporters Shield.
Terrence Boyd - The now-consistent starter couldn't add to his goal tally this weekend, which didn't help Rapid Vienna as they finished with a scoreless draw at Wiener Neustadt.
Geoff Cameron - Once again deployed at right back, Cameron and Co. fell 1-0 to Fulham, leaving Stoke with seven points from seven games.
Edgar Castillo - The Xolos left back helped Tijuana to an important three points with a 1-0 win at home to Queretaro.
Mix Diskerud - The Rosenborg midfielder played 68 minutes as a 0-0 draw with Honefoss kept them level at the top of the table.
Landon Donovan, Omar Gonzalez - The USA's all-time leading scorer potted a pair to equal the MLS record (134) set by Jeff Cunningham as LA trounced Chivas USA 5-0 in the Clasico. Gonzalez left the match at the half with a groin issue.
Brad Evans, Eddie Johnson - The Sounders duo were on the rare end of a thrashing, losing 5-1 to Colorado that left Seattle in second place. Johnson recored their lone goal, increasing his haul to nine for the season.
Brad Guzan - The Aston Villa 'keeper has recorded clean sheets in two of the last three, holding Hull scoreless in a 0-0 draw.
Tim Howard - Everton's unbeaten run to start the season came to an end after six games with a 3-2 loss to Manchester City. Howard has Everton now sitting in seventh place in the league table.
Aron Johannsson - A quiet day for the Alkmaar striker as he went 68 minutes in their 2-1 loss to Groningen. He enters camp with five goals in league play.
Jermaine Jones - Jones served as a reserve while Schalke rolled over Augsburg in a 4-1 win.
Sacha Kljestan - Anderlecht dropped to fourth place in the league table following a 1-0 loss to Kortrijk in which in which Kljestan went 71 minutes.
